League of Draven

I know it might be a little late for me to post this, but I had to considering I found the image today. League of Draven is another great meme inspired by LoL, and a personal favorite of mine. I have no idea where it came from, but every single time I get smashed by a brilliant Draven in the lane I am reminded of it.

Whoever made this, I salute you. You are a genius.

It's surprisingly rare to see a veteran Draven in the lane, I think the axe catching mechanic makes it difficult for a lot of players to get good at him. However, on the rare occasion I come across one- I'm usually not prepared to deal with his ridiculous damage output.

I guess this post should be considered a hype up to Draven, because I want to see more people using him. Hopefully not everyone can play him well enough to ruin my matches.

What happens when you bring ARAM to a normal game.

A lot of players never even venture into the custom matches feature on League of Legends. Which is a shame, because there are a few games in there with very entertaining rules.

All Random All Middle (ARAM) is one of these crazy methods of mixing up a League match and having some fun. For those of you who aren't familiar with the obvious nature of the title, ARAM forces you all to choose random, and then all five players on both teams fight the match out entirely in middle. Most of the time another general rule placed on the game dictates nobody may return to base unless they die. As you can imagine, fighting in mid with your entire team at low level is very hectic- and largely dictated on which champions you and your team get. It's unbelievably fun to play when you're sick of ranked or normal- and if you play with friends someone on your team is bound to rage down the microphone.

Recently, a few of my friends and I decided to force an ARAM in a normal blind pick match. Kudos to those of you who recognize any of them from youtube.

We never expected to win, and for those of you who love the underdog victories- you will be disappointed. As we brought our very tanky setup to the fields, someone had the brilliant idea to convert it into a surprise ARAM battle (brilliant idea because it was mine, yes).

We all chose tanky builds, threw Darius into middle as bait, despite the fact anyone who'd chase Darius is stupid since he'll eat your face. As the creep wave landed, a wild Brand appeared. After a few tenuous moments of furtively testing the lane, Brand overextended.

SURPRISE ARAM MOTHERFUCKER!

After rushing the first blood and all spamming ARAM in the chat, the enemy team actually joined in. Within a minute everyone was in middle lane, and we were having a battle of the ages. Which is strange because this is League of Legends. They are usually all complete wankbags on the enemy team, amrite?

Hurr durr zerg the tower.

Ultimately, we got beaten down- maybe because the enemy team had ranged champions. League of Legends is a casual game, and anyone genuinely attempting to take it seriously should probably go play DotA2, which has a higher skill cap. However, we regret nothing and hopefully this will inspire some new people to give ARAM a go. Just go to custom games, and you shall probably encounter one in seconds.

Remember it can be unbelievably imbalanced due to the random factor, but oftentimes you can turn that around later on in the match. Good luck.

It's taking me quite some time using premier/vegas to make a video, but it will be here soon.

A month has passed

I'm back again, it seems that I've been slacking with my blog more and more recently, however when it gets down to writing a post I thoroughly enjoy it.

I now have a brand new computer kicking ass and chewing bubblegum, which means I no longer have to suffer playing LoL with 5-10 fps anymore (I am aware your computer slows down if it's chewing gum, but it's badass). Playing Vayne has never been so easy. Since I can play at full graphics now, I've decided to start recording some of my games, to post on the blog.

Once I get my copy of fraps and fix my Internet adequately, I'll be posting lots of LoL videos to make this blog a little more interesting!

My main objective with today's post was to get back into the rhythm of blogging, and to give you guys some LoL comics that I know you love so much! I found a good source for the comics so I'll be putting some up more often!

Well, guess.

So, last night I had a pretty awesome dream.

Me and my team were losing a LoL game badly. We were killing dragon to catch up, and the enemy team found us when we'd barely started. All of my allies retreated, and I got caught with an exhaust. Now I can imagine at this point in the dream I was probably clawing my mattress, softly mumbling "Noooo....", because that's what I do when I get ganked when I'm awake.

Anyway, while I'm feebly trying escape this gank; I have an alarming epiphany. At this point I'm almost dead. However, I realise at the last moment: I'm Tryndamere.

With a mighty roar, I yell: "I'M TRYNDAMERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (In my dream, and in real life) And pentakill the entire enemy team. For some reason this awoke me from my slumber, to crawl out of bed and post to you today.


Before my sanity is brought into question, let me pose another one. Do you think Trynd is overpowered? Because there has been a surprising amount of QQ on the forums about it recently. I personally think he's a lacklustre damage class with his ultimate being his only utility. The slow is alright, but only late game when you have officially reached god mode status.

LoL comics and funny images

 I stumbled across a few of these on the Leaguecraft forums the comics are made by Omnibus, credit goes to him. If I find more I'll be sure to post them. The animation with Ezreal and Garen is what made me laugh. Out of all the characters Garen stomps, ezreal has teleport so he will usually escape?
